The pricing difference
Dispute Daddy costs $99 a month per business. No success fee, no per-dispute charge.
chargeback.io publishes its prices. On October 25, 2026, its pricing page listed:
- Ethoca (Mastercard): $29 per alert.
- RDR (Visa): $15 per alert.
- CDRN (Visa, US only): $15 per alert.
It says you pay only when it helps prevent a chargeback, with no monthly minimum and no contract.
Here’s the part that’s easy to miss: the alert fee isn’t the whole cost. An alert works by refunding the customer. Stop a dispute on a $300 Mastercard sale and you pay $29 and give back the $300.
Two different jobs
chargeback.io works before the chargeback. Card networks run alert programs (Ethoca, Verifi CDRN and Visa RDR) that warn a merchant when a customer starts a dispute. chargeback.io enrolls you, connects to your payment platform, and lets you refund within the alert window, by hand or automatically under a threshold you set. RDR refunds eligible transactions automatically. The dispute closes before it becomes a chargeback.
Dispute Daddy works after the chargeback. You upload the dispute notice and your own records: the agreement, the receipt, proof the service happened. Dispute Daddy builds a response packet aimed at the reasons the customer gave. You approve it and submit it to your processor.
An alert is a refund with a head start. It’s a smart move when the charge really is fraud or you’d refund anyway. When you delivered the service and have the proof, refunding gives the money away. That’s when you fight.
Who each is built for
chargeback.io says it serves businesses of all sizes, and its apps sit on the Stripe and Shopify marketplaces. Its pages focus on keeping dispute rates low: avoiding card-network monitoring programs, reserves and processor account shutdowns.
Dispute Daddy is built for service businesses (dental and medical practices, salons, contractors, professional services) and works for every other industry too. It suits merchants whose disputes are often about services they actually delivered.
When chargeback.io fits better
- Your dispute rate is the problem. If you’re close to a card network’s monitoring threshold or your processor is warning you, alerts cut the number of chargebacks on your account. Dispute Daddy doesn’t do that.
- Most of your disputes are real fraud that you’d refund anyway.
- You sell online on Stripe or Shopify and want something that plugs straight in.
The two don’t exclude each other. Some merchants refund what they’d never win and fight what they can prove. If you want to fight with your own records at one flat price, that’s Dispute Daddy.
