Chargeback deadline calculator
Enter the respond-by date from your dispute notice. You get a safe submit-by date, a calendar reminder, and how long a customer can dispute a charge in the first place.
How the calculator works
Your real deadline is the respond-by date on your dispute notice. The card networks give your bank longer, but your processor keeps part of that time, so the date on your notice is the one that counts. The calculator moves your target two days earlier and gives you a reminder for it.
If you add the transaction date, it also shows how long the customer has to dispute the charge: 120 days for most Visa and Mastercard disputes, and up to 540 days when the service was expected later.
Why deadlines decide so many disputes
A missed deadline loses automatically, before anyone reads your evidence. It is the one dispute loss that is fully in your control. For the full picture, read every chargeback deadline explained.
